The month of October has barely peaked and the state is mostly shrouded in a golden tincture. Fall 2010 has fully begun! Rolling sheets of warm gold, of browns and russets dominate the Independent State's variant landscapes from its northern tip to its southern base. This is the backdrop for the 2010 New Hampshire Parade of Homes, a statewide event, for those who want to buy a brand new home. The residences are built and designed by a cadre of New Hampshire's top notch remodelers and home builders.
The Parade of Homes
This ‘parade’ is brought to us by the partnership of Homebuilders & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire (HBRANH) which includes "ten local home builders associations." The association is also made up of “nearly one thousand one hundred companies” and has a workforce of “60,000 New Hampshire citizens”..It is their mission to build better communities through “education, vision and advocacy.” The state’s “building industry” is well represented in the association’s membership. The President of the HBRANH is Merritt Peasley.
The first 'Parade of Homes' was in 2007 and each year since. The nation’s economic downturn has affected New Hampshire’s housing industry just like it has many other states but the HBRANH has managed to have this show even amidst a difficult market. This year, once again, the organization is gearing up to showcase a set of beautiful homes. The New Hampshire Parade of Homes 2010 is slated for the weekend of October 8th to 11th between the hours of 11:00 AM and 4 PM.
